《周刊少年跳跃》的大人气漫画《死神》在2007年底推出了第二部剧佑场版动隅画。
日番谷冬狮郎率领的十番队负责运送尸魂界王族的秘宝"王印"，途中遭到一群神秘的敌人的偷袭，"王印"被抢走了。与敌人首领短兵相接的日番谷突然丢下乱菊他们不知所踪。
几天后，在现世的黒崎一护听说了"日番谷逃亡"的消息。与此同时，受伤的日番谷被人送到了黑崎医院。他恢复意识后，紧要牙关丝毫不对当日之事做解释。性急的一护和他打了起来，不料却被一个神秘人物搅场，疏忽之下败给了日番谷。
露琪亚和恋次救了负伤的一护。两人请求十番队副队长乱菊暗中搜寻日番谷的下落。一护等人开始追查事情的真相。恋次在八番队队长春水的帮助下，查知一个叫"草冠"的死神可能与此事有关，可他们随即发现草冠已经死亡。继续深入调查的春水被人袭击身受重伤，现场留下了日番谷的武器冰轮丸的攻击痕迹。与此同时，寻找日番谷的小队好不容易找到了他们要找的对象，却被日番谷本人打退。尸魂界终于下令处决日番谷。
日番谷真的叛变了么？秘宝"王印"中又隐藏着什么秘密？一场波及所有死神的大战拉开了序幕……
1.BD采用港版原盘压制，画质略好于欧版BD（两者都是23.976FPS）。音轨粤语和2.0的日语来自港版原盘。英语和5.1的日语来自欧版原盘。字幕繁体字幕来自港版BD,英文字幕来自欧版BD。
2.因为音轨体积巨大，故压制时采用crf=19.0000 aq=3:0.70，这样的参数缩小视频体积，其实这个BD质量用rf=18.0000 aq=3:0.75配上 psy_rd=0.48:0.12感觉会更好。
3.这次就只有一个SD的欧版BD的真人特典，画质比日版DVD中的好，个人感觉是AVC编码优势。
4.黑边问题我不想说了，这里十分抱歉，结尾和开头的一个1080p让自动检测没有检测出来，结果正片就是这样没有裁掉的，其实裁掉了还可以小个300MB。
